Use of the Library

USING THE LIBRARY FACILITIES

A. Who May Use the Library?

The Legislative Library of the House of Representatives is a SPECIAL LIBRARY
As such, its clientele is limited to the following people:

1. MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
2. CONGRESSIONAL STAFF (PLANTILLA AND NON-PLANTILLA STAFF),
3. SECRETARIAT EMPLOYEES
4. FAMILY MEMBERS, RELATIVES AND ASSOCIATES OF HOUSE EMPLOYEES
5. NON- HOUSE EMPLOYEES (belonging to neither of the above category, depending on their topic research.

B. Entering the Library

1. Registering
All individuals (non-library employees) who enter the library are required to register at the logbook located in front of the wooden lattice stand near the circulation desk.

2. Bags Depository
The Library has a bags depository. All non-library employees are required to deposit their bags at the shelf located at the right side, upon entering the Library. The individual has to bring along with him/her all valuables such as cell phones, wallets, laptops, and other valuables upon using the library’s facilities.
